Helena Basilova, pianist and composer, is the guest curator of this edition. She chose WOOD as the theme for her program, as a material for making musical instruments and in the form of trees, memory, type of wood, ecology. What materials do we actually use? Ensemble HIIIT brings wood to life in the well-known work Timber by Michael Gordon. There is a sound walk and a composing workshop for children. The Residentie Orkest plays new work by Max Knigge. Ragazze Quartet and Kate Moore bring Memories of Trees in Korzo and Helena Basilova concludes this edition with her own work ARBOR, which she created in collaboration with Kenny Kneefel (Shoal) and visual artist Vincent Rang.
